Mara School Visit
This enriching experience highlights the bond between luxury safaris and community support. By visiting, you’ll see how our efforts, along with those of our guests, contribute to the school’s growth and the children’s education. There’s no cost for this visit, and while some guests choose to bring gifts, your presence alone makes a difference.
The school is just a 25-minute drive away, and each visit lasts about an hour. Please let us know in advance if you'd like to join this meaningful journey into the heart of our community.
Kakiya Cave Visit
The adventure begins with a 15-minute drive followed by a scenic 10-minute walking safari, or a direct walk from Mara Bushtops, making for a 2 ½ hour round trip. On arrival, learn the ancient art of fire-making without matches, illuminating a cave adorned with red ochre depictions of wild animals and warriors. This space, once a hunting rite of passage, now inspires conservation efforts and our Bushtops identity. The Kakiya cave is truly unique – a visit you won't want to miss!
Walking Safari
Up Close and Personal
Guided by a qualified expert, you'll approach impala herds, zebra, and even giraffes within a safe distance. Your guide will share fascinating insights into the tracks, markings, droppings, and plant life surrounding you, enriching your understanding of the raw and unspoiled nature. You'll also gain a deeper appreciation of Masai culture as you walk through their ancestral lands.
A Choice of Six Walks
Choose from six different walks, all included in your stay. Your safety is paramount, ensured by an armed ranger, a naturalist guide, and a Masai warrior. A following vehicle provides additional reassurance, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in this intimate encounter with the African bush. This walking safari promises an unforgettable journey into the wild.
Balloon Safari
Gliding silently above the plains, you’ll witness the beauty of the Mara from a perspective like no other. After an hour of roving the skies, you'll land for a sumptuous Bush champagne breakfast.
