The hike to Rainbow Mountain takes approximately four hours, following a gradual ascent through a breathtaking Andean panorama. Along the way, you’ll pass glacial peaks, deep-red mountains, and rugged valleys, where herds of llamas and alpacas graze in their natural habitat. This is also one of the few places where you might spot wild vicuñas, the elegant Andean camelid prized for its luxurious wool—the most expensive in the world.

At the summit of Rainbow Mountain, the reward is beyond words. You’ll stand above the clouds, gazing at the mesmerizing striations of red, gold, and turquoise that stretch across the landscape.
