The Serere Reserve itself is located varzea forest of northern Bolivia strategically located for expansion to protect more of one of the world’s largest containers of wildlife, the Amazon Rainforest. For exclusive use by Serere Lodge guests, you can tour the different ecosystems and visit forest unique Amazon Rainforest lakes.
Your stay in the Serere Reserve is really up to you. Your stay can range from a minimum of three days and two nights to over 10 days. Our tours are not rigid and constructed to accommodate the unique interests of our guests as well as the changing environment.
The activities you can enjoy from the Serere Lodge are broad and there is a very high amount of animals and plants we can try to spot. The ecosystem is very healthy inside the reserve, which is shown by the sightings of different jaguar, a keystone species.
You have a chance of seeing hundreds of different birds, including macaws, jabirus, hoatzin, eagles; as well as howler monkeys, squirrel monkeys, capuchin monkeys, spider monkeys, and the ever popular night monkeys. Other animals include giant ant-eaters, two and three toed sloths, tapir, caiman, anacondas, ocelot, jaguar, pumas, and many more.
At the Serere Lodge, you will have a choice each day of an early morning bird walk, an evening walk or to explore Lake San Fernando in canoe. Frequently, guests simply choose to stay in their cabins, at least a few mornings, to view the wildlife from the comfort of their comfortable cabins.
