The Otorongo Lodge
From the Otorongo Lodge, you will enjoy a private guide and custom itinerary to explore the less-visited Amazon Rainforest towards the east of Iquitos in northern Peru. The lodge is 2.5 hours by speedboat from the city and is surrounded by many protected areas of Amazon Rainforest, including the lodge’s own endeaver of a 1,000 hectare restoration project and nature reserve named Fossil Creek.
The Otorongo Lodge specializes in custom itineraries with particular attention on trekking & camping, bird watching, and fishing. You can choose a more relaxing experience, boating down the tributaries and through flooded forest, camping in the jungle, or searching the rainforest for different birds and animals.
From the lodge, enjoy fantastic guided excursions to see giant lily pads, pink dolphins, several different monkeys, colorful birds, and giant trees. Enjoy walks, hiking opportunities, and canoeing the seasonally flooded forest.
The lodge offers rustic yet comfortable jungle lodging and itineraries with your personal and knowledgeable rainforest guide. The Otorongo Lodge accommodation includes 12 spacious rooms under a palm thatch roof. The single and double rooms have private bathrooms. In addition to these, the lodge offers a 60 square meter jungle bungalow that can sleep up to eight people.
