The Heath River Wildlife Center
The Heath River Wildlife Center, or Heath River Lodge, is the only lodge on the Heath River, which runs between the Tambopata National Reserve and the Bolivian Madidi National Park. On our Heath River Lodge Amazon tour, you will see the nearby macaw clay lick where guests have seen up to 260 macaws at once (making this site in the top five 100 known macaw clay licks), and visit a tapir lick to see South America’s largest land mammal. You will also enjoy guided walks in the rainforest to see many different animals and plants, including several different monkeys and colorful birds.
