Fitzpatrick’s Lodge at Jock is at the edge of Biyamiti in Kruger National Park. The lodge offers personal service in an intimate atmosphere. This is a great option for small parties and families.

As with the main Jock Safari Lodge, the Fitzpatrick’s Lodge at Jock is in the south-western corner of the Kruger National Park. Both Fitzpatrick’s Lodge and Jock Safari Lodge are in an exclusive-access 6,000-hectare area of Kruger National Park.

This section of the park is one of the best places to see the Big 5. The Fitzpatrick’s Lodge at Jock offers its own management team, a team of chefs, lodge hosts, and experienced field guides.

Tour

Enjoy morning and evening game drives in covered Land Cruisers with highly experienced rangers. The wildlife you can see can be very impressive in its diversity. See elephants, prides of lions, and herds of buffalo.

At dusk, you will enjoy breath-taking views of the Kruger National Park. Enjoy a sundowner listening to tales of the bush and plans are made for the next morning. When heading back to the lodge, spot different nocturnal animals. These can include leopards, hyenas and lions.

Enjoy walking safaris in Kruger National Park. After a delicious breakfast, head out to see a diversity of animals and plants. You will be led by experienced walking guides to experience the excitement of approaching these animals on foot.

The birdwatching is also fantastic and you can see a diversity of species. These include Martial, Tawny and Fish Eagles as well as Steppe Buzzards. Even from the lodge, you can spot Hornbills, Starlings, Boubou’s, Shrikes and Woodpeckers to name but a few.

In addition to tours, enjoy spa and massage treatments at the Pilgrim’s Rest with a selection of body and beauty treatments for men and women.

If you enjoy golf, you can visit Leopard Creek Golf Club. This is often regarded as a golfer's paradise. Even on the drive there, you can spot different large mammals, plants, and birds.

Rates Information

All rates are invoiced in South African Rand (ZAR) on “per person per night” basis.
All rates are subject to change without prior notice.
Note that all rooms can sleep a maximum of two adults.
Above mentioned rates are inclusive of breakfast, lunch, dinner, high tea, game drives, guided walks, tea, coffee, water, game drive beverages, tourism levy and 14% Vat (all other beverages are excluded and can be settled upon departure).
Persons under the age of 16 years are not permitted on any walking safaris.
We recommend a minimum stay of two nights throughout the year.

Adults travelling

Adult Sharing rates apply to persons (12 years and older) sharing one room. Persons 12 years and older are considered adults and will therefore require their own room at the applicable rates.
Single Adult rates are only applicable when one adult is staying by him/herself in one room. Not applicable when an adult is sharing a room with a child/children.

Kruger Park Entrance

A once-off fee is payable in cash upon entering the Kruger National Park. Please ensure to have your accommodation confirmation at hand to ensure entry at the correct price. This fee is subject to change without prior notice and can therefore be obtained upon request from your Safari Expert.

Children Policy

This policy applies to all persons from 0 up to and including 11 years old.
Persons under the age of 12 years are not permitted on any walking safaris.

Transfers / Gate Times

Transfers can be arranged with reservations on request at an additional cost.
All transfers are handled by accredited car hire and charter companies.
All transfers must be arranged prior to arrival.
Jock Safari Lodge is approximately one (1) hour from the Malelane Gate and therefore we recommend that flights to / from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA/MQP) are booked to:
Arrive at KMIA/MQP no later than 14h30 on day of arrival
Depart from KMIA/MQP no earlier than 10h00 on day of departure
No alternative arrangements can be made.
