Day 1
The 4-day Gorilla Safari Lodge Gorilla Trekking Tour begins after your collection at Uganda’s Entebbe International Airport.
You will meet your tour representative and will be taken to your hotel for a briefing on your safari.
Day 2
The 2nd day you will visit Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Board your flight to Kisoro and you will be taken to the comfortable Gorilla Safari Lodge.
After a delicious lunch at the lodge, you will head out on a cultural experience to visit the neighboring Batwa community.
You can then choose from a variety of optional add-on activities from the lodge, such as lake visits, birding, and waterfall treks. These can be booked from the lodge and rate lists are provided.
Day 3
The next day, you will have a delicious early breakfast and will begin your journey to the briefing area for your gorilla trek. Experienced gorilla tracking guides will then lead you across the slope of the volcano. You will begin searching where the gorillas were found the day before.
The trek can sometimes be physically demanding. However, the effort is worth it to enjoy sitting with the gorillas as they eat, rest and play metres from where you are. You are allowed to stay for 1 hour with the gorillas before returning to the lodge. You will also enjoy spotting other animals on your trek.
Day 4
On your last day, you will have an early trip to Kisoro for your return flight back to Entebbe Airport and flight to your next destination.
