The Eco-Certified-Advanced Ecotourism status of the Silky Oaks Lodge even goes back to the lodge foundation, as the lodge was originally built on farmland which was connected to the Daintree National Park. The land has since reforested to merge back with the Daintree Rainforest helping to extend this incredible area.

Studio Rooms
These offer a modern and cosy environment with a luxury marbled ensuite bathroom and walk-in rain shower. These have their own private balconies offering a view over the lush Daintree National Park rainforest.

Garden Rooms
The Garden Rooms then offer an elegant and tropically designed interior with both rosewood and Silky Oak timber throughout. The Garden Room bathrooms then have separate showers and a large spa bath. Creating a connection to the rainforest, floor to ceiling windows decorate the room, which open out to a private balcony that features a double hammock.

Deluxe Treehouse
The Silky Oaks Deluxe Treehouses are high set with an elegant style and are located in a beautiful and private section of rainforest and tropical gardens. The marbled and very spacious ensuite bathrooms offer a walk-in shower and feature a large corner double spa bath. You can then relax listening to the sounds of the forest from your balcony.

Riverhouse
These rooms are set in the prime riverfront location of the Silky Oaks Lodge and offer exquisite rainforest views combined with the relaxing sounds of the Mossman River. With polished timber flooring throughout and elegant interior, the Riverhouses are both stylish and comfortable. While relaxing in your spa bath, you will then enjoy uninterrupted rainforest views into the Daintree.

Lodge Suite
The Lodge Suites are enlarged Deluxe Treehouses, which have an open plan design. The suites have been carefully designer-decorated and have a contemporary luxury feel. The extra large balcony then overlooks the rainforest and comes complete with its own outside king-size four-poster-day-bed and outside sitting area.

Billabong Suite
Saving the best for last, the Billabong Suite offers the ultimate choice in rainforest luxury. Enjoy the newly refurbished and extended suites with an open plan lay out and separate lounge area. Both the rooms open out to a spacious double balcony with hammock and daybed overlooking the Mossman River in a very private setting.

Silky Oaks Activities

Silky Oaks provides a few different on-site complimentary activities, such as guided nature walks, canoeing on the Mossman River, swimming and snorkeling on the Mossman River, swimming in Silky Oaks Lodge Resort pool, cycling, day and evening tennis, and yoga.

The Silky Oaks Lodge Figtree Rapids Trail is a great place for a walk and the trail guide is a available at reception to help you identify many different species in the rainforest.

You can also book the Silky Oaks Lodge Safari to explore the area on day tours to visit the estuary, mangroves, rainforest and beach. Enjoy a walk in Cape Tribulation National Park on a track used exclusively by Silky Oaks Lodge. You guide will be pointing out interested animals and plants, and explaining a little about the region. Enjoy visiting a private bush camp for a traditional Australian BBQ lunch followed by a relaxing swim in a water hole, and then a crocodile and wildlife spotting tour on the picturesque Daintree River. After this, we return to Silky Oaks for afternoon tea in the open sided Treehouse Restaurant.
